Best New Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts in Costa Rica: JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort & Spa, All-Inclusive

From Park Hyatt to Waldorf Astoria, The Luxury Hotel Brands You Love Are Going All-Inclusive. Here’s Where.

Luxury resort travel has long split into two distinct camps: the EP (European Plan) hotel or the all-inclusive. One promises impeccable service with an open-ended bill, the other the ease of having everything taken care of, though not always with the same cachet. And let’s face it, most of us find ourselves firmly planted on one side or the other. But now, some of hospitality’s biggest names are blurring that line — and it’s not hard to see why.

Today, the ultimate luxury might just be not having to think about the bill at all. When a single poolside cocktail can set you back $30, even the most indulgent escape can start to feel a little too transactional. And when life rarely seems to slow down, the appeal of a vacation that feels genuinely carefree is hard to overstate. We want the hyper-attentive service and world-class cuisine, but we also want the freedom to say yes — to another round, that extra appetizer, or the morning wellness class — without doing the mental math.

Enter a new era of all-inclusive travel. From Park Hyatt and Waldorf Astoria to Kimpton and W, established legacy and lifestyle brands alike are reimagining what an all-inclusive stay can look like, bringing signature brand DNA, dining, and service to an evolving hospitality concept that, frankly, has never looked better.

The result? A new breed of all-inclusive that might just convince even the most devoted hotel snob. From Mexico to Costa Rica and the Dominican Republic, these getaways are set to prove that ultimate convenience and uncompromising luxury can, in fact, coexist. Here’s where to experience the next chapter of inspired all-inclusive right now — and what’s coming next.

Best New Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico:
Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya

The Waldorf Astoria going all-inclusive wasn’t on my bingo card this year, but I’m here for it. As of October 1, 2026, the 173-room Waldorf Astoria Riviera Maya (open since November 2022) is the legacy brand’s first property in the world to make the all-in switch. The brand’s white-glove, anticipate-everything service survives the pivot seamlessly: unlimited premium beverages, artisanal cocktails, and sommelier-selected wines from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m., daily refreshed minibar and 24-hour in-room dining, and five restaurants, including the elevated cantina JA’O and live-fire Malpeque. The rest of the resort experience stays rooted in place, with a spa drawing on Maya healing traditions, plus included curated experiences like oceanfront yoga and breathwork, artisan-led workshops, and agave tastings. What’s more, the resort goes adults-only (18+) on January 10, 2027, so the quiet you’re paying for is about to get more guaranteed.

Best New Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico:
Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya

From October 1, 2026, the 349-room Conrad Tulum Riviera Maya — open since January 2022 on an idyllic private bay — is the brand’s first all-inclusive in the world. The bohemian-luxe resort welcomes guests of all ages, with the always-included MYTHOS World Kids Club rooted in nature, creativity, and the region’s storied Maya heritage. The adult set gets Ceiba Club: an 18+ enclave (as of January 10, 2027) with its own pool, beach, and premium lounge, plus included access to signature dining concept Autor, home to innovative Mexican cuisine and a curated chef’s tasting experience. Non-Ceiba Club guests can dine at Autor for an additional charge. The rest of the property spreads across the pools, a cenote-inspired spa, and several dining venues, including Maratea for Mediterranean, Ukai for handcrafted sushi, and three poolside Chiringuitos for laid-back beach fare. It’s decidedly Tulum and all very Conrad: design-forward, Hilton-polished, and now, seamlessly all-inclusive.

Park Hyatt Riviera Maya

Forget the breakfast buffet. When Park Hyatt Riviera Maya opens on December 3, 2026, it will be the luxury brand’s first all-inclusive anywhere in the world, with entirely à la carte dining across seven restaurants and bars. Think Yucatecan coastal cooking at beachfront IK’AL to premium cuts at the intimate Bruma steakhouse. The resort sits in the private, mangrove-immersed enclave of AMAI, with 148 rooms and suites from 559 square feet (some with private plunge pools), their millwork, furnishings and artwork created alongside regional artisans. Beachfront pools with private cabanas, hydrotherapy at Velara Spa, and a Resort Ambassador who starts planning before you arrive round things out. It’s a Park Hyatt first with an all-inclusive lens laid over the top, and that order is the point.

Expect Baja-inspired architecture, multiple ocean view pools, an Ernie Els-designed 18-hole course, and a spa with 12 private treatment cabins and a traditional temazcal. Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort

Grand Hyatt has built its name on doing big, and Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort, opening December 10, 2026, is the brand’s Cancun debut and one of its first two all-inclusives anywhere (alongside its Los Cabos sibling). This is a ground-up build in the posh marina community of Puerto Cancun, located just 25 minutes from the airport. All 500 rooms have a private terrace with ocean or marina views, including 47 suites (some with private plunge pools) and Grand Club rooms with exclusive lounge access. Fourteen restaurants and bars means you won’t be eating at the same place twice. Nine pools (yes, nine) run infinity to adults-only, the private beach club has snorkeling, kayaking, and paddleboarding, and Ritua Sanctuary Spa, inspired by Maya cosmovision, resets with ancestral practices and modern wellness therapies alike. There’s even 30,000 square feet of indoor event space, built for everything from intimate gatherings to full-scale conferences and celebrations. Very Grand Hyatt, with the bill finally off the agenda.

Best New Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts in Mexico:
Kempinski Hotel Cancun

Kempinski Hotel Cancun isn’t going all-in so much as keeping its options open. Since October 15, 2026, guests can book either the traditional, à-la-carte rate or the new Bespoke All-Inclusive plan, a first for any Kempinski worldwide. Located in Cancun’s Hotel Zone, the 363-room resort opened in December 2022 after taking over the former Ritz-Carlton. Expect Kempinski’s hallmark European polish with a Mexican accent: all-ocean view rooms and suites (some with Club Lounge access), restorative treatments at Kayantá Spa infused with indigenous ingredients from the Yucatán Peninsula, and two AAA Five Diamond-awarded fine dining destinations, Fantino and The Club Grill. Your all-inclusive rate includes both, plus premium beverages (alcoholic and non) from 11am to 11pm, a daily refreshed mini bar, and in-room dining (albeit with a $10 USD service charge per order). Whether the resort fully converts or sticks with two rate plans remains to be seen.

Mondrian+ caters exclusively to the adult set, adding butler service, private check-in, an enhanced beverage program, and Allegra, the adults-only rooftop pool billed as the longest in Cancun.

Kimpton built its name on boutique hotels, so a 355-room all-inclusive in a protected nature park is a plot twist. Opened this fall as a takeover of the former Hacienda Tres Ríos resort, Kimpton Tres Ríos is the brand’s first all-inclusive anywhere in the world, set across 300+ acres of jungle, mangroves, three freshwater rivers, and ten cenotes — all just 30 minutes south of Cancun Airport. The family-friendly enclave delivers six restaurants and five bars (everything from Italian and Japanese to an elevated take on Mexican street food), four pools, a water park with slides, and the 10,000-square foot Kej Spa centered on Maya-inspired rituals, including a traditional temazcal experience. Sanctuary Cap Cana holds the title of The Luxury Collection’s first all-inclusive, but Almare became its second anywhere and its first in Mexico. Opened in October 2024 on Isla Mujeres (complimentary boat transfers bring you to and from the Cancun mainland), this adults-only hideaway goes for quiet luxury over big-resort bustle. Think boutique-hotel scale with 109 rooms, an unhurried mood, and, true to the brand’s destination-driven DNA, a guest experience that leans wonderfully rooted. Artwork is crafted by local artisans, Seasalt has Mexican-meets-European plates on the rooftop, and anchor dining concept BOGA does thoughtful cooking inspired by the flavors of the Yucatán Peninsula. Best New Luxury All-Inclusive Resorts in the Dominican Republic:
W Punta Cana

A W with a hidden speakeasy isn’t news, but one where the bill is already paid is. Opened in June 2025 on an unspoiled stretch of Uvero Alto, W Punta Cana is the brand’s first all-inclusive anywhere. The ground-up, adults-only resort has 340 rooms and suites that start around 700 square feet, all with bathtubs and signature maxi bars; many also feature swim-up access or private pools. Twelve restaurants and bars include Satsuma, a rooftop serving Peruvian-Nikkei, chef-driven Dominican flavors at Scena, and the vinyl-spinning 33 1/3 speakeasy. The W staples made the trip too: the WET Deck, complete with an 80-meter oceanfront infinity pool, the Living Room bar, with design elements drawn from Dominican folklore, and the AWAY Spa. This one features a Himalayan salt room and treatments infused with local ingredients like single-pressed moringa seed oil, aka the island’s “miracle oil.”

The Ritz-Carlton All-Inclusive Yanuna (2028)

Ritz-Carlton and all-inclusive: two phrases we never expected to share a sentence, and yet here we are. Slated to open in 2028, The Ritz-Carlton All-Inclusive Yanuna is poised to be among the heritage brand’s first all-inclusives, set on the cliffs of Punta Macao, where wetlands, coastline, and dramatic topography converge on the Dominican Republic’s northeast coast. Early plans call for 48 guest pavilions alongside 84 branded residences, with a design that honors the area’s Taíno heritage. Details are still under wraps, but if the brand’s gold-standard service survives the switch, the only thing you’ll be signing for is the guest book.

W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres (2029)

Marriott is doubling down on Costa Mujeres, the quieter stretch of coast north of Cancun, with a pair of side-by-side all-inclusives that couldn’t be more different in personality. Slated to open in 2029, JW Marriott All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres follows the brand’s Costa Rica debut with a thoughtful, connection-minded take on the format. Early plans call for 283 rooms, six dining venues, multiple pools, and a residential component. Next door, W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres is tapped to be the buzzier, adults-only counterpart, with roughly 300 rooms and five restaurants, bars, and lounges, plus, we suspect, the brand’s unmistakable main character energy. The two are expected to share The Village, a 70,000-square-foot entertainment hub with extra dining, event space, and shopping. One to unwind, one to turn up, and a shared Village in between.
